Amazon and Walmart feel like two different ways to shop for the same stuff. Amazon is the couch option. You tap a few buttons and a box shows up at your door, sometimes the same day. It is built around speed, reviews and a huge catalog of third party sellers. Walmart is the cart option. You can still order online, but the real power is in that mix of store pickup, groceries, and the fact that there is probably a location somewhere near you. Amazon shines for pure convenience and niche items. Walmart shines for everyday basics, food and in person errands. For most people the real winner is the one that fits how they like to shop, not just who has the prettier app.
