About Topic Wars

Topic Wars is an opinion arena. People bring their takes, matchups, questions and guides, then the community responds with votes, comments and reactions.

It is built for people who like to compare things, argue a bit, learn something new and get rewarded for putting real effort into what they share.

What lives on Topic Wars

Topic Wars is not a general blog site. Every post type has a purpose and a structure.

  • Versus: head to head matchups where you pick Side A or Side B and explain why.
  • Debates: focused questions with two or more strong positions that invite arguments and counterpoints.
  • Discussions: open topics where people share experiences, tastes and opinions without a hard winner.
  • Polls: simple questions with clear options plus a comment section where the real nuance happens.
  • How Tos: step by step guides that teach people how to do something specific.
  • Reviews: structured takes on products, services, apps, games and more with pros, cons and a verdict.

The goal is simple. Give people formats that are easy to interact with and easy to reward when they are done well.

Why Topic Wars exists

The internet already has endless opinions. Most of them are buried in comment sections that pay nobody and disappear in a day.

Topic Wars exists to do three things:

  • Make opinions and comparisons the main event instead of a side effect.
  • Reward people for thoughtful posts and useful conversations instead of low effort spam.
  • Give readers a simple interface to vote, react and comment without sorting through noise.

If you can spark discussion, help people decide between two options or teach someone something, you are the type of creator this site is built for.

How earnings work

Topic Wars has a built in payout system. You can earn in two main ways.

  • Approved posts: once you have passed the minimum approved post requirement, every new approved post pays a fixed amount based on its type. Debates, discussions, how tos, reviews, polls and versus all have their own rates.
  • Engagement: you can earn small rewards for approved comments and for liking or reacting to eligible posts from other users. You only get paid once per post for a like or emoji reaction and you can not earn by reacting to your own content.

Everything is tracked on your My Earnings page. You will see post payouts, comment earnings, like or reaction earnings and any payment reversals if something gets flagged.

The system is not here to print free money. It is here to reward consistent, human quality contributions and to punish obvious abuse.

What kind of community this is

Topic Wars is built for strong opinions, not personal attacks. You can say you think a product is terrible or a show is overrated. You cannot target people or groups.

  • Attack ideas and arguments, not identities or personal traits.
  • Disagree as much as you like. Do not harass.
  • No copy paste content or scraped junk. If it feels lazy, it probably is.
  • No hate speech, doxxing, illegal content or anything that belongs in a ban report.

If you are here to stir good debate and share useful knowledge, you are welcome. If you are here to spam and harass, you will not last long.

Quality and moderation

Every paid system attracts people who try to game it. Topic Wars is designed with that in mind.

  • New accounts must get a small number of posts approved before they start earning.
  • Mods can reject posts that are low effort, copied or abusive without payout.
  • Payments and engagement patterns are monitored for obvious abuse and multi account setups.
  • Accounts that push too far into farm territory get flagged, reviewed and if needed shut down.

The goal is to keep earnings sustainable for real users, not for bots or grinders who never read what they post.

Where Topic Wars is heading

The long term plan is simple. More formats that spark opinions, better tools for creators, and clearer ways for casual users to earn a bit of extra money while they hang out and vote.

  • Better discovery for new creators who consistently post quality debates and how tos.
  • More stats on posts, including engagement breakdowns and earning insights.
  • Seasonal events and themed matchups for games, tech, sports, streaming and more.

If that sounds like your kind of project, start writing and see how far you can take it.
